Know what Domino’s loves even more than its own delicious pizzas? A good, reliable vehicle to bring those pizzas—and the happiness that comes with them—to everyone else.
Domino’s has just announced it has chosen the 2015 Chevrolet Spark to become its Domino’s DXP (Delivery Expert), a vehicle designed specifically for pizza delivery.
The vehicle concept was submitted as part of Domino’s Ultimate Delivery Vehicle Challenge and quickly became the obvious choice.
“The Chevrolet Spark is the perfect vehicle to bring our pizza delivery to life,” said Russell Weiner, president of Domino’s USA. “Not only will the DXP have a warming oven on board and enough storage capacity to hold 80 pizzas in the rear, but the fuel efficiency is something our franchisees welcome.”
The company will begin using modified Chevy Sparks to deliver its pizzas this month. Looks like we’ll have to order a few to Joe Holland Chevrolet!
What does rap icon Kid Rock do in his free time? He helps design pickup trucks—specifically, one of the three custom Silverado 3500HD trucks that Chevrolet brought to the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The cabin features Sky Cool Gray leather upholstery, silver trim adorning the blacked-out instrument panel, a Kicker-built sound system, and logos on the sill plates that say “built in Detroit.”
Outside, the custom Silverado 3500HD boasts American flag decals on both sides, 22-inch alloy wheels, a larger Bowtie emblem, massive smoke stacks in the bed, and a metal-black paint finish that accentuates all the chrome bits.
“I wanted the design for the truck to be bold, but with features and elements that wouldn’t be out of reach for working-class guys,” said Kid Rock.
Joining the Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Kid Rock Concept was a Silverado Special Ops Concept and a Bone Collector Concept themed for Halloween. If we had to pick one at Joe Holland Chevrolet, we’d definitely go with Rock’s!
Brake failure is nothing to joke about it. Knowing what to do if you suddenly lose all stopping power can make the difference between getting off the road and ending up in an accident. Stay safe on the road with these tips for if your brakes fail from us here at Joe Holland Chevrolet.
Remain calm. Keeping a clear head and staying aware of what’s going on around you is critical to making it out of traffic safely.
Try the brakes again. Most modern vehicles have a dual braking system. That means your rear and front brakes are independent of one another. To lose all braking power, both systems would have to fail. That’s a pretty unlikely (and unlucky) situation. Try putting strong, consistent pressure on the brake pedal to see if you can slow down at all.
Leave the engine running. Don’t turn off the engine. While it may be a good way to cut power to the engine in order to slow the car down, doing so also cuts power to the rest of the car. This includes the power steering. Without power steering, you’ll have a much more difficult time navigating out of traffic.
If you feel like you may need to change your brakes soon or have any other maintenance or services done on your Chevrolet, be sure to contact our Service Department. We will be happy to help you with any questions you may have, even if you would like us to take a quick look. It is always better to be safe than sorry and have your car checked in order to avoid any damages in the long run!
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro was redesigned from the ground up, but that doesn’t mean it will meet everyone’s expectations. That’s why Chevrolet has gone the extra mile and introduced a line of Camaro performance parts and accessories. From engine components to braking packages, Chevrolet is looking to introduce the sixth-generation Camaro like none before it.
“These accessories and parts were designed, engineered and tested by our Camaro team, assuring proper fit and integration — and they are backed by Chevrolet,” said Jim Campbell, GM’s U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports.
The axle-back exhaust kits will increase performance in the V6 and V8 models. Owners of the LT1 SS Camaros can add an air intake that improves airflow, increasing performance in the engine.
Also included in the part sets are four suspension-lowering kits, braking packages, suspension upgrades, and exterior graphics packages.
Chevrolet is also introducing accessories like three aluminum wheel styles, grille kits with body color inserts, rear spoiler, and ground-effects kits. Interior trim kits will also be available in multiple colors.
Some performance parts will be available immediately while others will be introduced in the beginning of 2016.
